ABU Media Lab Days 2019, a first edition workshop of the ABU Media Lab Series, held on 16-17 December 2019 at Thai PBS, Bangkok, Thailand. Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) collaborated with WAN-IFRA Global Alliance for Media Innovation (GAMI) which focused on digital and innovation projects to encourage creative between participants and digital innovators to get new inspirations and ideas to use back in their organization.
The participants were the members of ABU, RTB-Brunei, Thai PBS-Thailand, NBT-Thailand, ACORAB-Nepal and BBS-Bhutan, the members of WAN-IFRA, BERNAMA-Malaysia and Bangkok Post-Thailand, as well as the lecturer from Chiangmai University and the experts from Ireland, Singapore, Japan and Switzerland in various fields: emerging digital platforms, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, data visualization, and interactive storytelling came to participate in the event. In addition, this workshop also provided many sessions: Lab Talks, Pitch and Brainstorming, Break-out and Coaching, and Work session. These sessions provided participants to find new inspirations and new approaches to use or develop their projects. Also, they toured Thai PBS studios, Editing room, Master Control room, Technical Control room.
