The website features four key special features, designed to meet user needs, providing content and in-depth analysis. Under the concept “We Bring Thailand to The World”, the platform aims to offer global audiences a comprehensive view of Thailand. The Thai PBS World website, www.thaipbsworld.com, has been revamped with a modern design to offer engaging English-language news and content, both local and global. It aims to provide an inclusive experience, with special accessibility tools for vulnerable groups such as the blind, color-blind, and the elderly. Features include adjusting text size, color schemes, and font readability. Additionally, AI-powered "Read aloud" functionality caters to digital-age users, ensuring the platform is accessible to all and delivers a comprehensive view of Thailand to the world.
Thepchai Yong - Advisor to the Director General for Thai PBS World emphasized that the Thai PBS World website is designed as an inclusive platform for all age groups, both in Thailand and internationally, offering equal access to information. The site serves as a hub for news and knowledge across various fields, including politics, economy, society, and environment. With new features enhancing user experience, Thai PBS World reinforces its role as a trusted public media outlet under the guiding principle of "Public Media: Connecting with the People" by ensuring accurate news presentation.
“We aim to produce quality news and content accessible not just in Thailand, but also to international audiences, raising awareness of Thailand’s many attractions that remain unknown to the world. These include our rich culture, technology advancements, and more. The newly revamped Thai PBS World website will serve as a platform for people abroad to discover Thailand from a fresh, more engaging perspective,” said Thepchai Yong.
Kanokporn Prasitphol - Director of Digital Media Center at Thai PBS explained the rationale behind the website's redesign. Since the launch of the first version of Thai PBS World in 2013, and its later version in 2018, with increasing technological advancements for websites and the growing variety of forms and different genres of content from Thai PBS. The recent redesign improves functionality, making the platform more user-friendly and easier to navigate, while restructuring the site to ensure all users can access its English-language news content equally.
