Thai PBS recently welcomed a delegation from the Guangxi International Communication Center (GXICC), Guangxi Daily, People's Republic of China, in a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening ties between the two media organisations and exploring potential avenues for future collaboration.
The delegation was led by Ms. Su Jinmin, Director of GXICC, and was accompanied by Ms. Anusaniya (Nut), Senior coordinator for China-Thailand. The group was warmly received at Thai PBS headquarters in Bangkok by Mr. Thepchai Yong, Executive Advisor of the Thai Public Broadcasting Service, Ms. Clare Patchimanon, Director of Thai PBS World, Ms. Sopit Wangvivatana, Audio Media Manager and Ms. Ruthai Thamsatha, Thai PBS's Head of Global Partnership Relations and Strategy.
During the visit, representatives from both organisations exchanged views on the evolving media landscape and shared insights into their respective approaches to content production and international broadcasting. Discussions centred on the role of public media in promoting soft power and cultural understanding, with both sides expressing strong interest in deepening cooperation.
GXICC, as the international communication arm of Guangxi Daily, one of China's leading regional media groups, plays a key role in projecting Guangxi's rich cultural identity and fostering cross-border media exchanges across Southeast Asia and beyond. The visit reflects the growing momentum of media diplomacy between Thailand and China, and Thai PBS's continued commitment to building meaningful partnerships with public broadcasters and media institutions across the region.
Thai PBS looks forward to further dialogue with GXICC and remains open to collaborative initiatives that advance shared values of quality public media, cultural exchange, and people-to-people connection.
