Thai PBS Representative Participates in the ABU Prize Working Party

The ABU Prize has been around for over 60 years, of which throughout these 6 decades it has encouraged the production of quality content among the Asia Pacific public media broadcasters.

Thai PBS had a chance to participate in the ABU Prize Reform working party gathered during the 16-17 January 2020 in order to collaborate with other ABU members in ensuring continuous improvement for the prize to best meet the demands of the current situation. The discussions include topics circling around the appropriate categorization, judging methods and criteria of radio, TV programs and digital media prizes.

All debates and informative discussions in the meeting were such useful contemplation for other future entry submissions of both the ABU Prize and other awards. The reform working party's discussion process and its outcome also serve as possible solutions to other awards with similar issues as each participant shared experiences from their organization and awards.
