After going through the selection process, on 27 June 2025, the Public Broadcasting Service of Thailand (Thai PBS) announced the official appointment of Mr. Vanchai Tantivitayapitak as the new Director General. Dr. Komarta Chuengsatiensap, Chairman of Thai PBS Board of Governors and the new Thai PBS Director General, jointly signed the employment contract with the Thai PBS Board of Governor members and executives as witnesses.
“The first thing I want to do after taking office is to make changes in the news sector to be more tangible and widely recognized, and to make Thai PBS a public media service for all groups of people” said the new Director General.
Mr. Vanchai Tantivitayapitak, the Thai PBS Director General, will officially assume his duties on 24 July.
