As the competition of Broadcasting media in Thailand heighten, the barely existing space for children content gradually decrease to almost non-existence. In order to further the development of quality content for children, Thai PBS in collaboration with The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) cohost the ‘ABU KIDS 2019 Workshop and Children Item Exchange Meeting’ among ABU member countries.
The meeting was during 22-25 July 2019, with workshop content ranges from the usage of music in different varieties of children content; children program development all the way to usage of children programs to support classroom lessons materials. There were altogether 30 producers participating from EBS-Korea, NHK-Japan, CCTV-China, NBT and Thai PBS-Thailand, VTV-Vietnam, RTB-Brunei and Anak TV from the Philippines. After the producers have shared their experience and learnt from the workshop activities, each country screen their exchange items and together discuss and explore ideas on how each program could be developed and adapted into their own country’s context.
