Thai PBS announces regional journalist fellowship program

The Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS), Thailand’s leading public broadcaster, has announced a journalist fellowship program that aims to enhance media cooperation in the region.
The Thai PBS Journalist Fellowship Program is offered primarily to practicing journalists in the ASEAN countries, particularly Thailand’s immediate neighbors.
The fellowship provides successful candidates with an opportunity to spend time in Thailand and work in the fields of their preferences. They will work with journalists of Thai PBS to learn and understand the various aspects of Thailand in the context of ASEAN through journalistic assignments, discussions, networking events, and seminars.

The program is designed to foster understanding and strengthen ties between Thailand and its neighboring countries, facilitating a platform for positive relations and mutual comprehension through the lens of journalism. It represents an effort by Thai PBS to contribute to the regional media landscape by nurturing skilled journalists who can report with depth and insight.

For this year, Thai PBS will select up to three candidates who will be working with the news teams of Thai PBS World, its English-language news service, in news reporting, conducting interviews, writing insightful articles, and mastering the use of media technology for news production and presentation.

Under the fellowship, selected candidates will spend two months in Thailand with accommodation, travel and living expenses covered by Thai PBS.

The fellowship program is now open for application.
