Message from the Director General
This year, Thai PBS marks its 18th anniversary under the theme 'Thai PBS: Media for Everyone.' We recently held a commemorative event bringing together members of our Board of Governors, executives, partners, and friends from across sectors to reflect on this important milestone.
For me, this anniversary is not only a moment to celebrate how far Thai PBS has come, but also an opportunity to look ahead. Today’s media landscape is changing rapidly. We are living in an era of information overload, accelerating technological change, and the growing integration of artificial intelligence into everyday life. In such a context, the role of public service media becomes even more vital.
Thai PBS will continue to fulfill its mission as ‘Media for Everyone.’ Our responsibility goes beyond reporting facts accurately, comprehensively, and transparently. We aim to stand alongside citizens in every situation, especially during times of crisis, and to serve as an impartial platform where people can exchange ideas and perspectives to build a better future together.
At the heart of this vision are four strategic pillars that we consider the DNA of Thai PBS, guiding the way we work and move forward.
The first pillar is Fact-focused News. Trust and credibility remain the foundation of our journalism. Thai PBS is committed to providing reliable information that helps citizens understand issues that affect their lives and society.
The second pillar is Fresh Content. We continue to develop innovative and engaging programs that resonate with audiences. A good example is our new talent competition program Beyond Talent, which aims to inspire creativity and bring positive energy to viewers.
The third pillar is being Friendly to Users. We have recently revamped both the VIPA platform and the Thai PBS website to make them more user-friendly and accessible. Our goal is to ensure that audiences can easily access quality content wherever they are.
Finally, we are preparing to be Future-Ready. VIPA is evolving into 'The Future of Thai Content Platform,' offering a wide range of quality Thai content and entertainment that can be accessed anytime, anywhere. This reflects our commitment to adapting to the future of media while continuing to serve the public.
Together, these four pillars reflect how Thai PBS continues to evolve while remaining true to its core mission. They guide our efforts to deliver trusted journalism, meaningful content, accessible platforms, and forward-looking innovations that serve the public interest.
As Thai PBS moves into its nineteenth year, we remain firmly committed to its role as a public service broadcaster that belongs to everyone, supporting knowledge, encouraging constructive dialogue, and contributing to a stronger society.
